JSL Gala | St. Augustine Event Photographer
This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the Junior Service League's Annual Gala in St. Augustine. Their theme this year was Vegas. Everyone looked AWESOME! It almost makes me want to rewind and wear one of my prom dresses instead. The amount of work that went into this event was incredible! The event was held at the Lightner Museum. It is 3 stories. So when guests came in they went to the 3rd floor for cocktail hour. They had a pianist and saxophonist playing music while guests had hour devours. The Tasting Room did the appetizers, and they were delicious!
Then everyone wandered to the 2nd floor where dinner was served. Black Molly catered and I cannot begin to tell you how tasty it was. Before guests found their table they walked through a photo op area where an Elvis impersonator was waiting. Lulis Cupcakes was in charge of the desserts and I was able to score Rich an extra cupcake. They had a silent auction with all sorts of things to bid on.
On the first floor they had a DJ and a bunch of craps tables and poker tables. At certain points during the night they had dancers perform and the Elvis impersonator performed. From what I was told he was a little demanding. They wanted him to take photos outside, but said no unless there was a minimum of 6 fans pointed at him. Kind of weird. It was by far one the the most extravagant events I've ever been to. Here are just a couple of highlights from the evening.
