Juggling Work and Work // St. Augustine Photographer

Many of you have been asking how long I have been doing photography. Since the answer is kinda tricky I figured I would give you all some insight. I am currently working part time with Flagler College. I received my BA in Communications from Flagler in December 2009. Shortly after graduation they hired me to do videography and photography. I absolutely love my job. I love what I do, I love the people I work with and I love the Flagler College campus. However, I'm only at Flagler 30 hours a week and so I started Oh, Snap! Photography to help supplement my income. OSP has been one of the most exciting things I've ever taken on (minus marriage.) I love running my own business. Meeting new people and capturing the special moments in their lives is very rewarding. However, working 30 hours at Flagler and starting a business can be very stressful. I typically work all day and edit sessions when I go home at night. I also usually blog the night before. That way I don't have to worry about it the next day. Most of my sessions are scheduled for the weekends. To say I'm busy is an understatement, but I love it.

This past week at Flagler, we had our annual Christmas breakfast in the dining hall. For those of you who don't know about Flagler I'll give you some background. Flagler College used to be the Ponce de Leon Hotel that Henry Flagler built in 1888. We're gearing up to celebrate our 125th anniversary. So the dining hall is pretty much immaculate. The photos don't do it justice. I am so blessed that I got my degree in such a beautiful location. It was pretty awesome getting to eat here 3 times a day for the 2 years I was living on campus. Getting to eat some breakfast with great friends and coworkers was a sweet way to start the day. That's part of the crew in the bottom right corner.
