St. Augustine Photographer | 1st Annual Turk-Off and Turkish Games
Every year for Thanksgiving, Rich and I stay home. We invite any and everyone who needs a place to go over to have some food. We had about 23 people. This year the Sivyers were able to come and so we instituted the 1st Annual Turk-Off and Turkish Games. Rich made a turkey, I made a turkey, Steve made a turkey and Kayla made a turkey. We had a lot of turkey. So we called it the turk-off. Where we anonymously put our turkeys on a plate with numbers and had others sample them. Then they all cast their votes. I had a Cuban turkey, Rich had a smoked turkey, Steve had a Kenji turkey, and Kayla had a citrus turkey. Steve and Rich tied for first place. Then after we ate all our food, we began the First ever Turkish Games. There were a variety of minute to win it games. Stacking apples, eating donuts off strings, ring toss. Brittany did a great job pulling it all together. I am proud to say I won the first ever Turkish games! And I get to drink out of a sweet cup we have dubbed "The Chalice of Victory" all year! There was also a Pirate Cup for the kiddos. Gabe won this year! My parents were able to come up for a couple of days. All in all we had a great holiday. Needless to say after taking 4 days off from Crossfit, this morning was a rough return to reality. Did you all do anything special this year for Thanksgiving? I am already looking forward to the 2nd Annual Turk-Off and Turkish Games!
